A. Annapurna Sanctuary – 17 days
The Annapurna Sanctuary is a high glacial basin lying forty kilometres directly north of Pokhara. Situated below a
ring of eleven of Nepal's major peaks, the Sanctuary has spectacular views of each of these giants. A skyline panorama circling west to south from within the Sanctuary includes: Huinchuli (21,132ft/6,441m), Annapurna South (23,683ft/7,219m), Fang (25,089ft/7,647m), Annapurna I (26,545ft/8,091m), Roc Noir (24,556ft/7,485m), Glacier Dome (23,600ft/7,193m), Gangapurna (24,457ft/7,455m), Annapurna III (24,787ft/7,556m), Fluted Peak (21,087ft/6,390m), Machhapuchare (22,944ft/6,993m), and Mardi Himal (18,331ft/5,555m). Perhaps one of the most staggering views though has to be the famous south face of Annapurna as seen from Sir Chris Bonington’s Base Camp.
