Milam Glacier Trek opens up an opportunity to explore and experience the mystiques of Uttaranchal. Trekking journey begins from Munsyari to Milam. The trek involves moderate walks using good tracks to cross the hills and transect rugged terrains, quaint villages and picturesque streams. Panch Chuli Range captivates the scenic trek on ascending to the Lilam ridge. As the trail meanders past Milam glacier, you get several vantage points to view panoramic vistas of mountain, a profusion of unique flora and fauna and unspoiled landscape. At an elevation of 3434 meters, Base Camp boasts a mesmerizing sight of East face of Nanda Devi. Much of the higher section is through Brijigang Pass to Ralam Valley. Detail Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Delhi

As soon as you land at Delhi airport, our staff will be at your warm reception to escort you to your hotel. After getting thoroughly briefed about the travel plan, you can make all the apt travel preparations accordingly. You get to have free time to indulge in any kind of activities of your choice.


Day 2 Sightseeing in Delhi

The entire day will be exclusively planned to guide you around the major attractions of Delhi. Delhi sightseeing tour begins shortly after breakfast. 17th century Red Fort which was built by the great Mughal Shah Jahan gives you delightful reflection on the India history. On approaching Jama Masjid, you get some insights into Muslim religion, culture and belief. India Gate is another living pride of New Delhi and it is also a reminder of the World War. You will also have a pleasure to visit President House, an official residence of India's President. Thereafter, the journey takes you to Qutab Minar. At the end of the day, you finally head back to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.


Day 3-4 Train from Delhi - Kathgodam - Almora

After enjoying delicious breakfast at the hotel, you will be driven to the railway station to catch a train to Kathgodam. You will have your meals and sleep in the train. On the next day as the train stops at Almora, you have to unboard the train and our staff will escort you to your hotel in Almora. You overnight at the hotel.


Day 5 Drive from Almora to Munsyari [2290m]

Soon after breakfast, you will be driven to Munsyari. Upon arriving at your hotel in Munsyari, you exist to your room to freshen up. After proper rest, you have your meal. You will spend the night at the hotel.


Day 6 Trek from Munsyari to Lilam [1845 m] 

Your trek commences from Munsyari. Feasting on mesmerizing views of verdant meadows and stream, you march ahead towards Lilam. On the way you will also see an Indo-Tibet Boarder check post. Finally, you overnight at a perfect campsite.


Day 7 Lilam to Bodgwar [2500m]

Early in the morning after breakfast you take continuous descents to the Gori Ganga. En route, you come across pristine villages. Further ahead, the trail meets up a view of the confluence of rivers. Bamboo, conifer and chest nut forests dominate the view throughout the trek. You even encounter herdsmen on your way. 5-6 hours of trekking finally concludes on reaching your campsite in Bodgwar.


Day 8 Bodgwar to Rilkot [3254 m] 

You trek for another 6 to 7 hours. The trail crosses verdant vegetation. When you reach an altitude of 3254m, you camp at an ideal location.


Day 9 Rilkot to Ganghar [3330 m]

Further away from Rilkot, you have to ascend gradually to an elevation of 3330 meters. Then Ganghar becomes visible. After meals you overnight at your camp tent.


Day 10 Ganghar to Nanda Devi East Base Camp [3434 m] 

After breakfast you ascend further to Nanda Devi East Base Camp. The journey to this destination becomes a complete blissful experience. You experience nature at its amazing form. It normally takes 3-4 hours to reach up to Base Camp. After setting a camp, you can explore around the Base camp. Eventually, after dinner you spend the night at your camp tent.


Day 11 Nanda Devi Base Camp to Milam 

In the morning shortly after breakfast you retreat to Milam. You pass by Pachu and Machang on your way. After crossing a bridge and further few hours of trekking will finally have you in Milam. Thereafter, you have your meals and then sleep in your tent.


Day 12 Rest in Milam 

This day has been exclusively set aside for complete acclimatization. Sound health and good physical fitness only get you going in your trek. For this, you get a good opportunity to acclimatize completely. After proper rest, you can explore around, simply enjoy good book or go on nature walk. Finally, you overnight at the camp tent.


Day 13 Milam to Brijigang Pass [3357 m] 

On a horse you leave Milam and head towards Base Camp. Heading away from Base Camp, you trek to Brijigang Pass. The trail follows river Gauri Ganga. As soon as you reach your camp site, your camp tent is set for your overnight stay.


Day 14 Brijigang Pass to Ralam Valley [3757 m] 

After breakfast you walk steady up away from the pass. After 4-5 hours of ascents you enter Ralam valley. Camp is set in Ralam.


Day 15 Ralam to Lingupani 

You leave Ralam valley early in the morning. The trail follows the river leading to Lingupani where you camp for the night.


Day 16 Lingupani to Lilam 

From Lingupani you retrace the path that leads to Lilam. After trekking for 5-6 hours you rest your journey at your campsite in Lilam.


Day 17 Lilam to Munsyari

Early in the morning after breakfast, you return to Munsyari and overnight at your camp tent in Munsyari.


Day 18 Munsiyari to Almora

You will be driven to your hotel in Almora where you enjoy quality services and good accommodation.


Day 19 Almora to Delhi

From Almora you will take an overnight train to Delhi.


Day 20 Arrival Delhi

Our staff will receive you at the Delhi railway station and escort you to your hotel.


Day 21 Departure

You will be driven to the airport in time for your flight back home. We ensure that you will leave Delhi with cherishing memory and an experience of a lifetime.
